OTHER STATES & TERRITORIES

The Elimination of Barriers Initiative (EBI) is a demonstration program designed to reduce the stigma and discrimination experienced by persons with mental illnesses. This Initiative is being piloted in eight States around the country—California, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin. These States were chosen because they represent a wide range of audiences and geographies.

The EBI is being conducted in these eight States through the summer of 2005, after which time it will be evaluated for use in rest of the country.

If you are not a resident of one of these eight States but would still like to order a free brochure, you can do so by clicking here or by calling 1-800-789-2647 (English/Spanish) or 1-866-889-2647 (TDD).

If you would like to see the EBI implemented in your State, please contact SAMHSA’s Office of Communications.
