MASSACHUSETTS

The "Mental Health: It’s Part of All Our Lives" campaign is being conducted in Massachusetts by two groups in collaboration: the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health and the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health.

The Massachusetts Department of Mental Health currently serves about 27,000 adults, adolescents, and children through inpatient and community-based services, which include residential services, case management, and community rehabilitation support. Other community care includes day treatment, in-home services, community and school therapy, and supported employment and education programs. The Massachusetts Association for Mental Health (MAMH) provides information and referrals to help individuals and family members access services. MAMH, as an advocacy organization, is also involved in an ongoing effort to improve and expand the State’s mental health service system.
